Farmer's Markets

If you like getting fresh fruits and vegetables right from the farms, then you need to go to the Farmer's Markets that are in your area! I love to get tomatoes, cherries, strawberies, green beans, onions and garlic. In addition to the produce, many markets have non-produce booths too. I have seen are aprons, soaps/lotions, organic spices, breads, tamales, and photo collage items (yes, that would be my booth!). Two locations in Lincoln are in Twelve Bridges on Mon. am. & Fri. am near East st./193.

it's a weekly ritual for our family to go to the farmer's market on saturday mornings. my daughter is loving the apple cider donuts right now!

I love all the local farmer's markets. But the first time I went I didn't take enough cash and also didn't take something to carry around my purchased produce & other items. Many of the growers use organic practices, but are not "certified" organic simply because of the associated costs.
