Legos. What child doesn't love 'em? Boy, girl, dad... keep all of them occupied while you make dinner, or lay on the couch for five seconds, or jump on MomFavs. We started playing Legos when our boys were 3 and 1 1/2. You'd be shocked to see what they can build unassisted just by being creative - it's a great brain activity among a million other things!!
Our 4 year old just seemed to find a whole new interest in these this year. His older cousin has a bunch and if he isn't playing with race cars he is finding some of his cousins less "valuable" Legos. :)
