The shiners have sponsored over 9 operations so far for my 4 year old brother who whose arm was broken and nerves severed so severe at birth they thought he would never use it. He now at 4 can at least use his hand and has very limited movement of the arm. With every year they come up with new ideas and new ways to try to repair the nerves and bones increasing the chance that one day he may have almost normal use of his entire arm. They have been a miracle for our family!
