Epidural Anesthesia
When does a really long needle injected into your spinal cord sound like a good idea? Labor!!! For my first prgnancy/delivery I was able to have an epidural, but with my second, my son came too fast and furious to have ANY pain medication. From someone who has delivered fully medicated and au natural, I definitely advise getting the epidural. As someone once told me, they don't give out any awards in the labor and delivery wing for giving birth naturally. Save the pain for recovery!
Ingredients
| 2 Liter(s) | IV as given by anesthesiologist |
Instructions
- Talk with your OBGYN with any questions you may have. If you decide you want an epidural for your delivery my advice is to tell the delivery nurse at the first chance you get so that they can start the process, and have the anesthesiologist on call to administer as early as possible.
