Hi Becky, I am sure that you will enjoy Adventure. I may give it a try next time around. I have a play group that I go to with the moms in my church on Thurs., so maybe Fridays next time :) I hope that you are enjoying your summer.

HI Becky, I have not been good about exercising either, just getting my kids down the street to the park has been the routine. :) I just signed up for MOPS at Bayside. I found out that one of my girlfriends was involved in that one so decided to just move forward with that one. It is on Mondays. Are you going to join?

I got your blog comment! You're absolutely welcome!! Hopefully you will gain some traffic from it. I didn't check...do you have a hit counter on your site? That way you know if people are visiting - not everyone comments (though they should!) :)

Becky, have you heard of www.craftstylish.com? They are an offshoot of Threads Magazine and it's just fun to go there and share what you work on and get inspired...just thought I'd pass on the info. I'm gonna fave it here too! :)

Becky - I was born and raised in Pville - MHS Class of 93. Maybe you knew my sister, Amy Nicholson? She graduated '91. great to see you on here. I was checking out your quilts - I love them! I make rag quilts as well - but I'm not as entrepenurial (?) as you! Good luck with Etsy!

Hi Becky! Any recent machine purchases? How about a blog? :)

Becky, Your quilts are adorable! :) To answer your questions, the blog is really easy...if you can figure out setting up your momfaves profile, you can do blogger.com. It helps you thorugh it all. About the machine - one way to explain it to your husband is to relate it to his tools. If he doesn't have the correct or good quality tool to do a job he's working on, it's really hard to do it well, not to mention frustrating! Plus, it's a one time thing - you're not going to buy a new machine every year (or are you!? lol). If the tools comparison won't work, you can always relate it to whatever he does - motorcycles, firearms, boats, etc. My husband happens to have an expensive hobby, so we take turns. :)

Bakersfield was great, so was Cambria. :) We got maple bars and thumbprint cookies on our way to Cambria and then brought home Lynn's Olliberry pies from Cambria, I am in some desperate need of exercise. How about Tuesday of next week? I think my father-in-law is coming to town this week.

Hey Becky, I am that friend. yeah, I love Etsy! I can give you some great tips on how to get your stuff seen and sold :) I just started figuring things out and asked a few people who I noticed had lots of sales. Most everyone is super supportive and really nice. I would be happy to answer any quetions you may have. And my number one piece of advice that I would suggest right off the bat is post everyday. Here is my personal email, write me anytime and then I can email you my phone # too if you want to call me. Good luck and I can't wait to see your stuff! lesleykyates@gmail.com

well I have never taught a class before, I guess I could show you the basics. If you want a pro, check out one of the many great sewing shops, all of which have classes. Beverly's offers a beginning sewing class every Saturday at 9am, it only cost $10. I don't think you even have to pre register just show up. If you don't mind driving up to Newcastle you can check out The Tin Thimble, they are FABUOLUS!. Check their website for schedule. www.thetinthimble.com. But I would love to share what I know with you too.
